Autonics Introduces SPB-A Series of DIN Rail Switching Mode Power Supplies
Autonics has discontinued its SPB series of DIN rail switching mode power supplies and now offers the more compact, easier-to-install SPB-A series with improved environmental resistance.
Provider of industrial automation solutions Autonics has discontinued its SPB series of DIN rail switching mode power supplies and replaced it with the new SPB-A series. With the SPB-A series, users will have access to the same high power conversion efficiency and stable power supply as earlier models, but with the added benefit of a more compact design for improved space efficiency and an increased operating temperature range for use in harsh environments.

Out With the Old in With the New SPB-A Series
The SPB-A series power supply offers a wide range of power capacities (15W, 30W, 60W, 120W, 240W, and 480W) and output voltages (5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V, depending on the power capacity), making it versatile for various applications ranging from machining, assembly, or quality monitoring.
Compared to the earlier SPB series, the SPB-A series provides a 12% reduction in volume and a 20% reduction in width, which makes installation in smaller spaces possible. The SPB-A series also features an expanded operating temperature range, now -20 °C to 70 °C. This wider temperature range allows the power supply to function reliably in harsh industrial environments. The SPB-A series also includes overcurrent and overvoltage protection and overheating prevention functions, ensuring consistent performance even in demanding conditions.

Simple, Compact Installation
Each SPB-A power supply is equipped with an easily verifiable operation status LED to facilitate maintenance personnel in checking the power supply and low-voltage indicators. Autonics has streamlined the installation process by offering options for DIN rail or screw mounting. However, it should be noted that a separately sold bracket will be required for screw mounting when purchasing the power supply. Additionally, the power supply will be furnished with time-saving rising clamp-type terminal blocks for wiring.

Stable and Efficient Power
The SPB-A series of power supplies provides reliable power output for various components, such as temperature controllers, industrial sensors, PLCs, user interface devices, and push buttons. These switch-mode power supplies are versatile and well-suited for a wide range of applications, including supplying power to ensure the efficient operation of semiconductor mixing equipment in the battery industry and powering sensors and controllers in the packaging industry.
