Looking Ahead With Campus 2030+

The 100 million euro investment is a key component of the company’s Campus 2030+ project, focused on enhancing and modernizing the company's oldest and largest production plant. This facility, which has been integral to the company for over six decades, will undergo expansion and modernization to ensure the sustainable advancement of its level and pressure measurement technology.

Modernizing and expanding the facility marks the initial phase of Endress+Hauser's Campus 2030+ initiative. This phase will primarily involve refurbishing the production and logistics facilities in Maulburg, focusing on upgrading existing buildings or constructing new ones. The main goal of this phase is to optimize production processes and expand office space to accommodate 2,000 new jobs in Maulburg.

Dr. Dirk Mörmann, the managing director of Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure, emphasized that Campus 2030+ further cements the company’s commitment to Germany. "By creating a platform for over 2,000 jobs in the region, we aim to meet the ongoing global demand for cutting-edge measurement technology in the process industry. This expansion will enable us to better cater to the needs of our clients, while also reinforcing our global production network and enhancing our competitiveness."

Sustainable Production in Maulburg and Beyond

Already, Endress+Hauser invested 20 million euros in an energy-autonomous and CO2-neutral sustainable building in Burlington, Ontario. This investment set a precedent for sustainable growth through a variety of projects and a strong mindset. As stated by Peter Selders, CEO of the group, "With the Campus 2030+ project, we are securing the future capability of our product center for level and pressure measurement while demonstrating that sustainability can be reconciled with growth and profitability.”

Maulburg is now on the same path with Endress+Hauser's Campus 2030+ project. The Campus 2030+ project is dedicated to developing a sustainable and environmentally friendly facility. The project requires no additional real estate. The current facility in Maulburg, Germany, already generates 45 percent of its electricity through solar and heat/power generation. Endress+Hauser's current objective is to achieve up to 90 percent self-sufficiency, create green spaces in currently sealed areas, minimize vehicle traffic, and reduce noise levels caused by traffic.
