Oriental Motor Expands Brushless Motor Solutions With 24 VDC Driver
Oriental Motor has added a 24 VDC 400 W driver to its BLV Series R Type brushless motor offerings, providing users with a new unified, battery-powered speed control system.
The new 24 VDC driver is compatible with Oriental Motor’s 400 W (½ HP) BLV Series R Type brushless motors. The driver powers peripheral devices like sensors and cameras with a single 24 VDC source, simplifying the system and saving space and costs.

Oriental Motor’s Speed Control System
In the industrial market, some customers opt for cheaper alternatives to standard supplies like power supplies, circuit breakers, and fuses, as they believe these items perform similar functions regardless of the brand. However, Oriental Motor's unified power supply with a motor and driver design stands out due to its advanced functionality, which could justify its higher cost. While a cheaper power supply might save money upfront, the specialized features, reliability, and ease of integration offered by Oriental Motor are designed to provide users with better long-term value and performance for their applications.

24 VDC 400 W BLV Series R Type Driver
Oriental Motor’s 24 VDC driver is specifically designed to work with the 400 W (½ HP) BLV Series R Type brushless motor, ensuring high performance and reducing the risk of compatibility issues many struggle with. The driver also offers advanced features like precise position control, wide speed ratio, and multiple operating functions (e.g., continuous, positioning, JOG, and return-to-home operation). A driver can offer better performance characteristics, such as smoother acceleration, deceleration, and more precise speed control. These features might not be available in cheaper power supplies.
The 24 VDC 400 W BLV Series R Type driver supports two communication protocols: Modbus (RTU) and CANopen.
A comprehensive speed ratio refers to the range of speeds at which a motor can operate effectively. In the context of the BLV Series R Type brushless motors and their 24 VDC driver, the motor can run smoothly and efficiently at very low and very high speeds. This flexibility may be necessary for applications that require control over a broad range of speeds.

Easy Setup With MEXE02
Setting up and configuring drivers and motors can be challenging, especially for those new to the automation industry. Oriental Motor's MEXE02 software suite addresses this challenge by offering a user-friendly interface that simplifies application uses. Integrating Oriental Motor’s MEXE02 software within the driver provides users ease of use, monitoring capabilities, and data storage.
One notable feature of the MEXE02 software is its real-time monitoring capabilities, which allow users to observe the motor's operation closely. This feature is beneficial for troubleshooting and optimizing performance. Furthermore, the software's data storage function enables users to save various parameters and operation data. This simplifies the replication of setups and facilitates the restoration of previous configurations.
