SensoPart, a leading designer and developer of vision sensors and vision sensor technology, has recently announced a new software update for its VISOR series, enhancing safety and minimizing visualization errors.

The update is available to new and current users free of charge and gives them access to features previously only available on more complex and expensive vision systems. Users can expect the update to provide exciting new features like contour checks and individual markings. SensoPart hopes the release will give customers significant added value without any out-of-pocket expense.

Key Features of the New VISOR Series Update

In order to increase transparency and efficiency SensoPart has incorporated a new “Individual Overlays” function. The function was designed to ensure the rapid visualization of system errors. Rapid visualization helps facilitate a timely response to both maintenance problems and other types of system malfunctions.

A timely response to issues can lead to a more efficient production process. The transparency is provided through the use of a color coding system where the color shown on the screen is related to the system's current status. In addition, relevant information and results are displayed directly in the image.

Enhanced Safety and Measurement Capabilities

The latest update comes with new features expanding upon the existing capabilities of the VISOR series. Expanded result processing features are available and can be used for robotics applications with new operators and enhanced measurement functions. Measurement precision tasks are now easier to solve with the software.

Password protection has been included in the software for device protection, ensuring adequate defense for an increasingly connected industrial environment. Password protection helps to reduce the chance of cyber threats and ensures that only authorized users can manage and change device settings, helping to reduce unnecessary or disruptive device setting alterations.

Contour Check and Common Applications

The latest software comes with a “Contour Check” Detector. The new detector allows users to accurately and effectively check for part errors. The new functionality can help to reduce waste in a significant way, helping to save manufacturers money, while simultaneously reducing the amount of waste created in plant processes.

The Contour Check works by ensuring a precise comparison of object contours with a previously taught reference contour. The method gives accurate and fast error detection where reliability is a concern. SensoPart has managed to make the detector capable enough to fit a broad range of applications including metalworking, and plastics, all the way to assembly processes.

SensoPart Looks to Provide Easy Setup

SensoPart has worked hard to provide a higher industry standard for its customers. The software is available as upgrade 2.10, both new and existing users have access to the update. SensoPart hopes that this latest update will help to ensure they remain a leader in the field of industrial image processing systems by providing users access to their newly developed advanced technologies.
